How do I get El Capitan to recognize my Canon printer? I have done what I think is everything I can: clean install of El Capitan (another problem); reinstall Canon software from the CD; even Print Reset—my printer does not even show up! I have tried LAN and USB. No luck at all. The printer does not even show up on the USB Tree in System Report.

Mac mini, OS X El Capitan (10.11.6), Mac Mini 6.2
